The UOF group has released the second part of their 3rd map pack. It takes the deathmatch maps and converts them to other game types (mainly Greed and Domination).
The recently released UOF DM Map Pack is part #1 and the UOF EG Map Pack will be part #2. The pack will include different game modes of the DM pack, hence the name “Extended Game play”. The pack is scheduled to be released on December 20th.
MCampagnini has updated his script to version 1.41, which adds an export option to “that will toggle consistent normals”, which is the same as “recalculating normals” inside Blender.

Blender 2.61 is now available to download. You can see an overview of what’s been added, bug fixes and download. While the additional features might not be that useful for those of us who create assets for our maps, it’s usually a good idea to update. for those of you who create CG artwork strictly in Blender, some of the new features will really help, especially the Cycles render engine.
The final 2 maps have been added to the original UOF DM Map Pack post. The planned release date is still December 15th, 2011. Stay tuned for the final announcement.

Description: The UOF team pooled its efforts on the Death Match (DM) game type this time. You can expect various styles expressed in maps of all sizes. Inspiration has come from UT2004 and its predecessors while others draw further afield. These maps are the culmination of many months of intense work with a focus on custom content. A friend of mine has released a map he has been working on over the span of two years. He has recently released it and having played it, I can vouch for both the game play and visual to give you many hours of UT 3 fun.
Citius is a water filtration plant located on an unknown planet high on rocks in the middle of the sea whose Liandri owns. The installation began experiencing some operational difficulties so it is now used for team competitions.
While replying to a thread in the Epic Forums, another forum member staid they used Blender and I though… “wouldn’t it be nice if we had a Blender/Unreal group so we can possibly help each other out a bit more?”. So I went ahead and created the group at the Epic forums.

It will focus on creating content in Blender and bringing into an Unreal editor (UT 3/UDK/GOW/etc).
While I have added some links in the past weeks to mainly the Resources page, I haven’t created a post to let you know of the changes. This post will get you up to speed.

- mAlkAv!An has released some fern static meshes/textures as well as some tile able stone maps.
- Nobiax has released a few 3D Plants meshes that can be used on various textures, including his 3D textures.
- Nobiax has released some of his texture packs, #18, #19, & #20.
- I found some nice texture creation workflow tutorials by Phili which use both modeling and texture programs.
