Blender 2.65 has been released today. The biggest change that would concern level designers/environmental artists may be the bevel tool. You can read about it’s changes and other modeling tools here. There were also 200+ bug fixes made as well to make it the most stable 2.6x release yet. You can download the latest version here.
I stumbled upon this site in the CBP3 Volume 5 Epic Thread. I have always been a fan of map review sites and look forward to reading some review. You can check out the site here. He has already reviewed 2 of the maps from the for mention pack.
I know I am a bit late… The CBP3 Volume 5 pack has been releaed. It contains 5 DM maps, 3 CTF maps, 1 VCTF map, and 1 character. Please visit the Release Page and check it out.
Hello all…
I have been absent from the mapping and modding world for most this year for various reasons. I have found my way back to a hobby I enjoy very much. I have a few maps planned, which will include static meshes from Blender.
In the future, I plan on being more active in posting information and hope that it helps you enjoy your hobby of gaming and modding.
Jonathan Williamson over at Blender Cookie has done a nice overview video on Blender 2.62. Check it out here. The UV tools, new Boolean library, and the Remesh modifier were the parts that interested me the most.
I decided to make 2 UV Test Grids based on the stock Blender ones. One is just contains blue and black squares (each square is 32×32 pixels). These can be useful if you use “white grid lines” as the stock image seems to blend too well with them.
The other image replaces the little “+” marks with arrows, to help align the faces better.
I have released the different Tapinak maps from the UOF DM + EG Map packs as individual downloads. In addition, euchreplayer23 was kind enough to cook and test the PS3 version.
There are 2 DM versions (one is at night with a different item placement) in addition to a greed and domination version for those who like these game modes. You can view the page here.
The recently released UOF DM Map Pack is part #1 and the UOF EG Map Pack will be part #2. The pack will include different game modes of the DM pack, hence the name “Extended Game play”. The pack is scheduled to be released on December 20th.
